James Smee - Chair

Love bikes, ever since a child, when I would build ramps and jump over my mates! my favourite place to ride is in mountains, takes the breathe away in more ways than one.

Since taking up the role as Chair, my mission is to see the club grow, supporting the members and become well established within the southern region.

Karen Nash - General Secretary

After not riding a bike since a teenager, I decided to buy and jump back on four years ago. I have completed Ride London, London to Paris and have raced for CCR. I love being outdoors and enjoy the social aspect of cycling with the club and of course the compulsory cake stops!

Nick Piner - Treasurer

From trying to master wheelies and polishing my chrome bmx wheels as a kid, to discovering the glory of road riding as a 'grown up' - bikes have been a permanent fixture in my life. If anyone tells you of a better way to travel, they are wrong...

Larry Wiltshire - Race Secretary

I have always loved all things with wheels, some with engines some without.

As a kid I would always love to tinker with bikes, as I got older cars and motorbikes took over, racing the latter in club racing for a few season. The one thing I always came back to was cycling, now nearly in my 50th year of life it should be time I took things more sedate but just cant help myself. It’s all about the pain.

Phil Webber - Social Media and Support

My main motivations for cycling are to avoid having to diet, and indulge in my other pastime - pizza! I have floated around a few clubs prior to joining CCR in 2018. I joined the committee in an advisory capacity early 2021, and try my best to support my fellow committee members across a number of objectives. I describe my riding ability as “jack of all trades master of none”. I hold a ride lead qualification and dabble in both road and off-road racing.

Adam Coppard - Website & Club Kit Secretary

May say mediocre cyclist and more cake than climbing, but a passion for riding and supporting others in their cycling are great values. An eye for detail that comes across in the immaculate condition of the bikes he rides - pretty good mechanic as it goes!
