And still it rained…. Thank goodness it’s not road race season! Those hardcore enough to race CX have been going strong through the month.

5 Nov – Newbury Velo and Veloclinic - Kingsclere
Round 7 of the Wessex CX League, also seeming to produce one of the fastest, flowing courses of the season so far. Although Storm Ciarán hit us hard all week, the conditions on Sunday were more like Summer Cross! A hilly course with a terrific headwind.
V40 - Richard Tucker 53rd, Chris Day DNF (crashed out on Lap 2)
26 Nov – The South Downs Social – Dalton Barracks
Round 8, Wessex CX League. Take Tri hosted round 8 of the South Downs Social Wessex League 2023/2024, our first race in proper Cyclocross conditions. The course was slippery, and very muddy in places, providing a technical, yet fast course. Conditions were challenging, the corners were difficult, but very challenging to ride at speed, providing excellent racing for all categories, and let’s be honest, it’s pretty cool racing around tanks!
V40 Open – Andy Hallas 42nd
V40 Women - Sara Hallas DNF – Was leading until a puncture!
Two more rounds left before the Christmas break with Wessex League CX starting again on the 7th January 2024!
End of Year Round up…… Next month a quick look back across the year and results of the awards given during the Christmas do.
